Night Sky Index is a free resource, and running it costs money. To keep it free, we participate in affiliate programs: when you click certain links on this site — for example "where to stay" links — and then book or buy something, we may earn a commission.

This never changes the price you pay. The commission is paid by the booking platform or merchant, not by you.

Our accommodation links are provided through Stay22, which connects to booking platforms such as Booking.com and Expedia. We may add other affiliate partners over time (for example outdoor-gear or tour providers); this page will be kept up to date when we do.

Affiliate relationships never influence our data. Sky Scores, darkness ratings and eclipse information are computed from public scientific sources (NASA, Copernicus, OpenStreetMap) and are never adjusted to favor any property or partner.
